Joey uses your device's microphone solely for speech recognition during affirmation practice. All speech processing happens on-device using the native iOS and Android speech recognition APIs. No audio data is transmitted to external servers. Saved recordings are stored locally on your device in the app's private storage.
In-app purchases are handled through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Payment processing is managed by RevenueCat, a third-party subscription management service. No credit card information is stored by the app.
Joey uses PostHog for anonymized usage analytics to help improve the app experience. We track feature usage patterns but do not collect personally identifiable information.
All user data — including streak data, preferences, favorites, and recordings — is stored locally on your device. There is no cloud sync, no user accounts, and no server-side storage. Uninstalling the app deletes all data.
Joey does not include any advertising SDKs.
Joey is suitable for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
